Concert in Alzheimer Home Pitkovice
On 12 April, an extraordinary event took place, for which four organizations joined forces: the Stadler-Trier Foundation, the Music for Eternal Hope Foundation, the Alzheimer Home Pitkovice and the Charity of the Czech Republic. The result of this partnership was a concert by three great young violinists who performed at the Alzheimer Home in Pitkovice and delighted several dozen clients in the serious stage of Alzheimer's disease. Violinists Matteo Hager, David Hernych and Marek Pavlica performed works by Antonín Dvořák, Béla Bartók and Jean-Marie Leclair. The musicians complemented this classical programme with impressive arrangements of two popular songs, The Nightingales of Madrid and Josquin of the Bazaar. They then played for several more bedridden clients at their bedsides. The concert sincerely touched everyone present, leading us to think of continuing this initiative in the future.
