We will soon open a call for scholarships. BUT BEFORE YOU FILL OUT THE APPLICATION...
Have you decided to apply for the Stadler-Trier Music Foundation Scholarship? Read these lines carefully before you start filling out the application form.
Who are our scholarships for?
The Stadler-Trier Music Foundation supports exceptionally talented classical music students in priority from Switzerland, Czech Republic and Slovakia, and in some cases, young professionals up to the age of 29. Therefore, it is not enough to be an above-average student, you must excel in your field. So, what do we expect from scholarship applicants? What criteria do we use to judge them? Here's a list of the basics.
- You are a student of classical music at university or conservatory level. Or you are already a young professional at the beginning of your artistic career. You are between 17 and 29 years old.
- You can prove yourself with top academic results, awards in competitions or success in other musical projects.
- You have already built up the basis of a concert repertoire that includes works that are among the pillars of the musical literature in your field. You are constantly expanding this repertoire.
- You can also demonstrate strong concert activity outside of your studies. You actively seek out concert opportunities as well.
- You speak at least one world language.
- You are prepared to provide credible evidence of your economic situation. For scholarships more than EUR 400 (or CHF 400), we require tax returns from your parents and yourself, if relevant.
- You have a clear vision of where you are going in your field and what you want to achieve in the next few years. You can articulate and present this vision.
If, after reading the above, you can say YES, I DO, you can complete the scholarship application form when the call opens. We plan to open the call on March 5th, 2024.
