Celetná Salon opened after reconstruction
After a three-year period of visual "retropunk", when artists and audiences co-created evenings with a magical atmosphere in highly precarious conditions, the Celetná Salon once again resounded with music and, after extensive and versatile renovation, shone in the splendour that was inherent in the prosperity of interwar Czechoslovakia. The hall also underwent sophisticated acoustic modifications to make the performance of music here even more delicious to the human ear. The inaugural concert featured performances by the Siebeneichener Quartet, violinist Terézie Hledíková, pianist Eva Strejcová and the imaginary highlight of the evening was the performance of violinist Josef Špaček with cellist Tomáš Jamník. In addition to the artistic performances, the invited guests also admired the magnificent Preciosa crystal chandelier, which was donated to the Foundation by its patron Karla Lažanská. Together with the donor of the Steinway piano, Christopher Scholz, she is one of the great donors of our Foundation. You can experience the atmosphere of the opening concert in the photo gallery here. The next public concert will take place at the Salon Celetná on 28 May 2025.
