Invitation to the Celetná Salon on 23 September: Jan Novák (violin) and Marek Kozák (piano)
In addition to solo violin works by J. S. Bach and E. Ysaÿe and the piano Impromptu by A. Brahms' Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2 in A major, Dvořák's Sonatina for Violin and Piano in G major, as well as two duos for violin and piano From the Homeland of B. Smetana.
Jan Novák is currently a student at the Prague Conservatory in the violin class of Prof. Jiří Fišer. His greatest artistic achievement to date is the title of laureate of the Prague Spring International Music Competition, where he won second place in a demanding competition, and a number of other prizes, including the Czech Music Fund Foundation Prize for the best performance of a composition composed for the competition.
Marek Kozák graduated from the piano class of Professor Ivan Klánský at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He has won numerous prizes at prestigious international piano competitions, including the Busoni Competition in Bolzano, the European Piano Competition in Bremen, the Géza Anda Competition in Zurich and the Bach Competition in Leipzig.
