Salon Celetná continues on 20 October with a concert by the Kubit Quartet
The Kubita Quartet was founded in June 2024 by members of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestral Academy (Filip Kubita - violin, Kateřina Vítečková - violin, Michaela Sedláčková - viola, Petr Hamerský - cello). Despite its short existence, the Kubita Quartet has already performed at the Suk Hall of the Rudolfinum and the Czech National Centre in New York. He studies under Jiří Panocha, the founder and principal of the Panocha Quartet, and in his first year at the Czech Philharmonic Orchestral Academy he also studies with Irena Jakubcová, the deputy concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic.
In August 2025, the quartet became a laureate of the Academy Kroměříž, where it gained valuable experience under the guidance of Pavel Nikl, professor and founding member of the Pavel Haas Quartet. A month later, they participated in a masterclass for selected chamber ensembles with the Vienna Philharmonic as part of the Dvořák Prague Festival, where they worked under the direction of Milan Šetena (1st violin - Vienna Philharmonic).
